Tomorrow is the big day at Squidoo for the new policy change.  If you haven’t seen or heard of the policy changes then, all I can say is “Where have you been?”  For complete details on the Squidoo policy changes you can find them here at Squidoo.

If you still have not moved your content because you don’t where to put of you can’t find any place to put it then you need to hurry or you may lose it.  The best place to put it is on your own website where you make up the rules.  If you don’t have a website because you don’t think you can afford it than check out Pronet Hosting they are running a special for the month of July only. $4.95 for one full year of hosting with unlimited webspace and bandwdth.

Your only other option is to host it on another free site.  There are a few that you can use. Some of the more popular ones are blogger Blogspot, Weebly, and Hubpages.

I moved some of my questionable content to my own website and some I moved to Blogger Blogspot.   I personally am ready for the changes and hope that everyone else out there is as well.  I can’t wait to see what the changes will bring.  In my opinion I think they will help raise their athurity with google which in turn will help with the rankings of the individual lenses. Either way we will see in less than 24 hours.

Good luck to every one that has lenses that are questionable.

Pronet Hosting is definitly worth looking into if you need hosting it will give you one full year to figure out what to do and only cost you $4.95.

Squidoo Policy Changes 7 Days Away

One week left to move that newly banned content. One week left to move the content that is questionable. What happens if you don’t move it? The answer is quite simple, your lens will get locked or deleted and all that hard work lost.

Do you have options, can you save the content on your lens?  The answer again is quite simple, yes you can.  You basically have two options, one move it to another free site or two move it to your own site. If you don’t have your own site and can’t afford web hosting than there may still be a way to get your own site for one year for $4.95.  Pronet Hosting is running a CRAZY SUMMER SPECIAL they are offering a full year of hosting for less than five bucks and it includes unlimited web space and unlimited band width.

If you choose to move it to another free site keep in mind you will still have to deal with policies and guidelines and could end up in the situation you are in now.

If your not sure of all the changes at Squidoo you can find them here at their blog. You will find that there are a few topics they have banned as well as limiting the number of links allowed on a lens. If you haven’t read all the new guidelines I urge you to do so before you are surprised when you go to your account only to find your lenses locked or deleted or worse yet your account suspended. The guidelines can be found here.

The best free site I have found to move the content to is blogger, the most inexpensive hosting is Pronet Hosting I have not been able to find this type deal anywhere else Hosting for $4.95 for one full year. At least you will have time to start earning enough money to continue your hosting when the year is up and if not you can still move it to a free site before the year is up.

Are You Ready For Squidoo Policy Changes?

Nine days and counting until Squidoo implements their new policies, are you ready? Have you moved that newly banned content yet? If you haven’t you are running out of time.  In 9 days Squidoo will begin to enforce their new policies and if you have any lenses that do not meeet their new guidelines you will have your lenses locked or deleted.

If you’re not sure what all the changes are  you can get all the new policy changes at Squidoo.  With time running you will have to decide if you want to keep the content of your lenses that may be in question. If you do you have a few options, first you can move it to another free site such as, hub pages or blooger blogspot, second you can move it to your own website.

Looking at you’re first option if you move you’re content to another free site you will have to worry about guidelines of what ever site you move it to and may find yourself in the same situation again whenever that site decides to implement new ploicies.

You’re second option, moving you’re content to you’re own website site. This would be the better option, the biggest plus of moving you’re content to you’re own site is that it belongs to you and you will be able to make the rules. You won’t ever have to worry about policy changes or losing the content because all of a sudden it is a banned topic on the site.

If you can’t afford web  hosting their may be a solution that will give one full year to find a way to afford it. That solution is Pronet Hosting they are running a CRAZY SUMMER SPECIAL where you can get web hosting for one full year at $4.95. It includes unlimited web space and unlimited bandwidth. This will give you the hosting you need to save and keep safe all your content plus a full year to find a way to pay for hosting in the future.

So, Don’t wait go to Pronet Hosting get hosting for a year for five bucks and save that content from your Squidoo lenses before it’s to late.

Uproar Over Squidoo Policy Changes

Have you heard?  Squidoo is making major policy changes to be implemented on July 20th.  If you haven’t go to Squidoo for compete details on the up coming changes.  Some of the changes include, no more than 9 links pointing to the same website, no more dieting lenses, no more adult lens, there are many more so, if you have any lenses at Squidoo you will have until July 20th to edit and update them to meet the new policy or remove the content before the 20th so you don’t lose it.  After July 20th any lens that does not meet the new policy will be locked  deleted.

Since the new policy change was announced I have seen an uproar about it killing Internet Marketing using Squidoo.  It seems as if the majority of Internet Marketers  think that this will bring an end to using Squidoo as a free marketing tool and end any existing lenes that are already out there.

So why is Squidoo doing this if it will eliminate a lot of lenses?  The answer to this, I think is quite simple,  Squidoo is trying to make their site more powerful in the eyes of google.  By eliminating link spammed lenses as well as content that google does not hold in high regard their rank with google should grow.  Is this really a bad thing?  As far as I am concerned this is a good thing for those of us that don’t spam our content with links and provide useful unique content.  In the end I hope to gain PR on my lenses either way this is what you face when you use free tools for marketing you are the mercy of the site owner.

The only way to escape policy change or keep from losing your content is to host it on your own website.  Many Internet Marketers when first starting out may not be able to afford hosting thus they rely on the free resources that are out there.  There may be many of you right now knowing you are going to lose your content on the 20th of this month because hosting may not be an option for you at this.    The only thing you can do is to edit your lens if it is not a banned topic and if it is move the content to another free site, there are many that you can use.  Most of the the other free sites that you can move your content to do not allow for overly promotional content either so you will most likely have to remove all but 2 or 3 of the links.

If you would really rather host your own content but really can’t afford the monthly bill of $5.00 or more a month to obtain adequate hosting then, I may have a solution for you that will give one year to work things out.

Pronet Hosting is running a special that they are calling CRAZY SUMMER SPECIAL you can get one full year of web hosting for, get this, $4.95 that includes Unlimited bandwidth, Unlimited Web Space, Money Back Guarantee, MySQL, PHP, CGI, SSL, FTP, Stats, and more!  Go to Pronet Hosting and check it out even if you don’t like the host it will at least give you one year to find something better and will only cost you 5 bucks. So with that said don’t wait to long even if you don’t get hosting get that content off of Squidoo before you lose all that hard work.

If anyone has any other solutions that can help others with this dilemma please post a comment or register as an author and post your solution here I am sure there are many out there that would be very grateful for any help in this matter.

Go here for the Squidoo Policy changes.

Good luck to everyone that has any Squidoo lenses!
