The History Of Xbox360 Explained

Welcome to my Xbox360 report. This report will detail the origination of Xbox360. The Xbox360 was coined after a marketing firm that it hired conducted a survey which asked people whether they thought the Xbox evoked a more “next generation” or “next-gen” sound. It was apparent that Microsoft was having worries at that time that sticking to Xbox2 as the name of its new video game console would make it appear or sound older or less “cutting-edge” than its main rival, the PlayStation 3 or PS3.

Keeping such a concept in mind, Microsoft announced that it has successfully produced a set of fresh 360 backwards compatibility update of the Xbox which the firm is scheduled to release anytime within the week. This is in keeping with the company’s commitment to concentrate on the continuous improvement of the console’s features. Peter Moore, the game’s top honcho, said the updates are presently having their final testing at Microsoft. Once completed, these will be released to the market sometime this week.

The Xbox360 console also was reported to have a special feature that has the capability to perform maintenance functions in the console’s storage devices. A player, who recently purchased a copy of the video game, said the console’s cache can be cleared simply by going to the system blade, then to its memory. From there, the player said, one can press Y on either the HDD or the MU. The said player consequently posted his observations on one of the console’s numerous websites.

A Microsoft representative did confirm the existence of the said feature. However, he tried to make it clear to those who purchased the Xbox game console that while the HDD clearing feature is a part of the game’s entire electronic processing system, it is also a part of the technical support process. Ideally, it should only be utilized in instances when technical operations are involved. Moore said that while the said Xbox360 feature, when utilized, will not really harm or cause severe damage to the console, still it is recommended that it be used only a few times and only upon proper instructions from a qualified Microsoft customer service staff member.

The latest Xbox model is alot smaller in size than its predecessor. It also has the obvious looks of a 21st century set top box. In addition, the game also contains a removable hard drive that is located on the left side of the console.

In general, the Xbox360 is, for all intents and purposes, a most powerful console, a truly next generation video game that has amazing top-of-the-line and cutting-edge features. It promises to provide an amazing digital visual enjoyment. The latest Xbox has a variety of hot as well as new game titles ranging from science-fiction, to adventure, to action, to sports, and to practically anything that the human mind can imagine.

The functions of a desktop PC are too many to mention. However the nuts and bolts consist of tower cases and small form factor models, with the latter being placed behind the monitor. Most desktop PC’s have separate monitors, keyboards, and a mouse.

The advantages of a desktop PC are that it can be upgraded much more easily with applications and power over that of a laptop. There are many styles and designs on today’s market and they come in large and small sizes.

If you do a lot of work with your computer that requires a large database, you will probably need more than a basic computer. Basic computers are good for simple tasks like checking e-mail or shopping online.

If you are pretty stationary, a desktop PC would probably be the better choice for your lifestyle. Laptops are good for those on the run, who require computer access wherever they may find themselves. Sometimes it is good to have both if one can afford it.

Those into gaming action definitely need a powerful PC. Speed and Ram are important factors in being able to keep up with gaming logistics. Find out about the top five contenders on the market that provide superior performance. They have great graphics and make great choices, all made with the latest technology.

Pump Up Your Gaming Rig Without Breaking the Bank with Multiple Graphics Cards

December 7, 2009 by Gregg Housh · Leave a Comment

Every gamer wants a powerful system. However, building one can be wildly costly. As the graphics card often dictates the in-game performance of your computer, a high-end GPU is considered a must for a serious gamer. The latest graphics cards can put a serious dent in your wallet. They also become obsolete after several months.

However, with the emergence of multi-GPU technology, you can combine multiple cards to achieve better performance. This could allow you to purchase less expensive graphics cards to put in your gaming machine. As your needs increase, you can purchase another card to share the workload with your current hardware. This will give you an increase in performance that was previously only available on a prohibitively expensive gaming card.

Nvidia’s SLI and ATI’s CrossFire technologies offer this multiple card support. If you are interested in build a system around this strategy, you should be careful to get the correct pieces. If you want multi-GPU support, you must have a motherboard that allows for it. Most newer gaming motherboards will offer this. Also, you will need a beastly power supply to pump out the electricity needed to run multiple cards. These SLI-ready power supplies are not necessarily expensive. However, you don’t want to have to upgrade your power supply when you install a new card.

If you use this strategy for building your gaming PC, you can purchase newer graphics cards that are a few months behind the newest releases. In a market where parts are difficult to move off the shelves after a year or less, you can see why these are much cheaper cards. Don’t worry about the performance of your machine lagging behind, though, the addition of future cards will allow you a similar boost in performance to one of the newest, expensive cards. You can save up money for extra cards at your leisure without having to throw out old parts.

Be careful that you plan your purchases around the limitations of multi-GPU technology. For example, an Nvidia SLI rig will require you to use only cards of the same chip set. If you intend to use a GeForce 9800 GT, for example, you will need to get the same card when you add a second. ATI’s CrossFire technology allows you to use different cards from the same series. These are hardly limitations, but you don’t want to accidentally purchase a card that won’t work with your setup.

If you play massively multiplayer online games, such as World of Warcraft and other popular MMOPRGs you might want to weigh using one powerful card instead. These games tend to be very processor intensive, and there are frequently support issues for multi-GPU arrangements. However, for other games that put more pressure on your graphics card than your processor, multiple cards can vastly improve your performance.

High end graphics really display the incredible power of the desktop PC. Gaming does not require the huge budgets of the past. If you choose a smart build, you can get smooth frame rates on the latest games at a reasonable price. Multi-GPU technology allows you to upgrade your machine on your terms.

Farmville Hint Guide

There are so many people who are so crazy for this latest addition by the Zynga game developers, the FarmVille. For them it’s the best game played on Facebook, since most of the users have forgotten all about their YoVille account just to plant seeds and harvest their crops.

While there are people who enjoys plowing and planting a few lots on their farms, a lot of people already own a huge lot that has so many plots to plow and plant, and obviously, it would happen if they were not so glued to their computer waiting for their farms to grow.

Cheats are also great when you want to get to a higher level quickly, make more money, get better gifts, buy better decorations or even help friends out by sending them multiple gifts on the same day. If you search the internet, there are some cheats that may help you earn more coins and experience level or XP faster that the usual, although some might work some might not, so it’s best to try them all first if you really can’t wait to have a huge farm.

Now surely it feels good to get gifts from a loved one and this is so true even on FarmVille. And there is also a way for you to advance on to higher levels with this cheat. By sending multiple gifts in a day would earn you points, and if you know how to do this cheat then the result would be a lot of coins.

To get started you will need 10 plots that are empty or need to be plowed. Calculate how much money you will need to plant what you really want to harvest, such as watermelons that take 4 days to harvest but sell for 348 FarmVille coins. You will not planting watermelons right away in these plots so be patient, reserve-00 FarmVille coins for seeds planting and 150 coins for plowing those future watermelon plots.

To start this FarmVille cheat that really works, plow your 10 plots and buy soybeans. It will cost 150 coins to plow and 150 coins to plant soybeans, but delete those plots using the shovel tool immediately after seeds have been planted.

Another thing that you would want to do in order to maximize your gaming would be planning which crop to grow when you are away from your computer since crops grow and ripen at various times, so there is no way to stop the crops from getting ripe while you are away as well.

Therefore, plant crops, which take longer to grow when you head to bed or away form your computer for extended periods. This little time saves money and time from clearing rotted crops. You see, playing with FarmVille is so great that it continues with its growth time even if you turn off your computer.

If you are looking for Farmville hints or just want to play Farmville on Facebook, you should check out GameFarmville.com. It’s the only 100% free guide to how to make money, get tons of XP fast, and just plain enjoy yourself in Farmville.

The Beatles Rock Band Review

If you’re like I am then you probably don’t care about video games. In fact, I hate video games. In my opinon they are a complete waste of time. So why am I spending my time writing about a video game? Because Rock Band is not just a game, it is a great interactive musical experience.

I’m not really talking about the guitar and bass guitar bit. I actually think that part of Rock Band is lame because it has nothing to do with playing real guitar and very little to do with the songs you’re playing. It has nothing to do with guitar playing because playing real six string is about a million times more complex than simply pressing a few buttons and it has little to do with the music because I have found that the colors rarely change at the same time as any musical changes in the song.

It’s the singing and the drumming aspects of the game that excite me. These aspects are directly related to really doing these things “in real life” and they are also both obviously related to the music that you’re performing

If you sing in key and with the right timing then you will get a good score. No you don’t have to sing the lyrics (you can just hum) but so what? What matters is the timing and hitting the right notes. I think Beatles Rock Band Video Game is really a really great way to to work on your ability to sing. More so than the other rock band games because it also includes harmonies.

When you play the drums on expert level you you have to hit every drum hit that’s in the actual recording! No, it’s not just like playing a real drum set, but it’s close enough to be pretty effective practice. Some people move easily from playing Rock Band drums to playing a real drum set.

I definitely recommend The Beatles Rock Band Game an excellent present for any big Beatles fanatic along with (obviously) The Beatles Stereo Box Set and The Beatles in Mono.

Harold Kenneth Quesenberry suggests reading This Music Blog if you are a fan of The Beatles as it’s got a lot of Beatles related posts.

Best Farmville Crops to Grow I Use To Grow Tons Of Coins

FarmVille offers so many crops for its players to grow. Each of them has a corresponding Experience or XP level as well as cash that you can earn every time you harvest and sell them. Some players are after on getting a lot of coins for purchasing land, equipments, houses, lakes, trees and seeds and making their farm look realistic.

On the other hand, there are players who’s after of getting on the top level among their list of friends. So they play for the experience or the XP points, but whichever might be your goal, there is always one thing that all of us have in common, it’s the enjoyment that we get from playing it.

FarmVille introduces it’s to its players different types of crops as they move up every level. Those who where just starting with their farms has limited choices which includes strawberries, eggplant, wheat and soybeans, squash would be unlocked as soon as you reach level 4. Level 37 will make you successful to unlock all 42 types of seeds.

For those who have been playing the game for quite a long time is already familiar with most of the crops. Some crops are great for those who wanted to get more coins whole the other crops are best for gaining more XP. Some however are best for overnight planting while some are good for days, especially for those who wouldn’t be able to log in for a day or two.

To give you a bit of idea on how you can maximize your planting of crops, I will site some examples that you can just simply follow. To begin with, for those who are just on levels below four, strawberries would be the best choice to plant. As compared to the other three, it gives more cash that’s worth 75 while eggplants have 31.5, wheat has 26 in a day and soybeans have 24.

For those who were playing for over a month or two would definitely be in a much higher level already and with that, they pretty much know which they would like to prioritize more, be it the XP or the coins. For those whose goal is to level up faster or increase experience, the crops that you would like to get are: Strawberries, Blueberries, Raspberries, Pumpkin, Rice, Soybeans, Sunflower, Peppers, Eggplant and Pineapples.

Coins is the other thing that players would want to get the most from playing FarmVille, and to help you with this, you might want to consider planting the following seeds; Tomatoes, Sunflowers, Coffee, Blueberries, Broccoli, Raspberries, Peppers, Corn, Rice and Pumpkin. Raspberries are said to be great if you wanted a fast growing crop but with little income and Cotton for those who want lots of money but slow growing.

Always remember that some crops grow over night or even more, so make sure you use them if you will be away for a day or two, some players do this if they plan to go on vacation. Tomatoes, Grapes, Sunflower and Asparagus are the most picked crops to get coins while the Berries are for XPs.

Arcade Video Games Today

November 20, 2009 by Frank Hunt · Leave a Comment
Filed under: PC & Video Games

Today’s modern generation has allowed the emergence of new age video games which has brought a multitude of diversities in the gaming industry. As we look at it now, we have come a long way since the video gaming industry has planted its roots way back in the times of arcade video games. When we say arcade video games, the first thing that usually comes to mind is a vintage and obsolete machine that was once a big hit a long time ago.

Contrary to that misconception however, arcade video games never did lose popularity, nor did the its progressive, entertaining industry ever find itself in a stand still in terms of arcade video game production and the progress the entire industry has been making.

Since arcade video games have existed for so many years now, some people view it as a thing of the past. And with the rise of the newer and faster gaming consoles, they thought that it was about time to move on to the next era of gaming. However, the idea that arcade video games are out of the table is not true. While all the newest home-based gaming consoles are the star of the limelight as of date, it is still undeniable that arcade video games still have not lost its popularity. In fact it is still progressing.

By nature, arcade video games have rather short-lived levels on which the difficulty is increased the further a player would succeed in advancing. This can be attributed to the fact that these types of games are played in a different environment compared to hand-held and popular home-grounded consoles.

Perhaps the greatest difference in terms of gaming environment is that home based consoles allow players to play in the comforts of their homes. Here they can play on their own, never to worry about the amount of time they would be playing. On the other hand, arcade video games are designed to be played in the public, this environment is a lot different than in the home as you would be dealing with spectators or even accept challenges from other players. This adds an element of interaction and an additional dosage of difficulty. In addition, players experience an added pressure because each session will require them to drop a token or coin. Given this fact, the player is now dealing in a playing environment that he can only try for limited tries only which is very different from home-based consoles like the Playstation, XBOX, Wii and personal computers.

We can’t deny that Arcade Video Games sill has a special place in the people’s hearts despite of newer games. And as the arcade video games share the limelight with other mainstream video gaming consoles, we know for sure that they would still be around even in the years to come.
