Track Calorie Intake To Lose Weight

According to a recent study, over 64% of North Americans are overweight, and 27% are classified as “obese”. We all know that North Americans have weight problems, but really think about that; over half of us are fat!

When you are overweight, everything is different. You are still a good person, but you feel more sluggish and unhealthy than you are supposed to.

Do you remember what it felt like to be a child? Did you ever think about your weight then? Probably not! When you were 10 years old and running around care-free in the summer, were you worried about how you looked in your swimsuit? Did you worry that your cellulite was showing, or that your stretch marks were exposed for the world to see?

When you were 10 years old, did you have to take a break from running around and playing, or were you able to run and play with all the energy and vigour in the world? When you are overweight, exercise is not easy. You know that you have to exercise in order to lose weight, but the idea of going for a jog or going to the gym is frightening because you know how out of shape you are and how difficult exercising is.

Well, you may not be able to drink from the fountain of youth, but you are able to get back into prime physical condition!

You are able to feel young, healthy and vital again!

If over half of us are overweight, and over a quarter of us are obese, that likely means that over half of us are looking for a way to lose weight. Most fat people want to get thin after all!

There are so many reasons to lose weight. You may want to lose weight for your health, for your vanity, or both. You may want to lose weight for a special event, like a wedding, or you may want to get ready for the bikini days of summer.

You may want to lose only five or ten pounds, or you may want to lose a larger amount of weight. You may be more concerned with dress sizes or inches than actual pounds.

No matter what, you need to know how to lose your unwanted weight, and with all of the different products and techniques on the market, how do you know which one is really going to work? The desire to lose the weight is clear, but there are so many different ways to choose from.

You have so many options! You can try the nationally recognized diet programs, such as Weight Watchers, Herbal Magic or Jenny Craig. They offer guidance, team support, and recipes/meal plans. They are also extremely expensive! They require large time commitments from you, because you need to attend meetings and seminars. You need to attend weekly, sometimes daily, weigh-ins.

You could try the drug store meal replacement options. Slim Fast, Nutri System, etc – the “shakes”. They offer you convenience in that they are pre-packaged meals, and they are less expensive than the aforementioned diet programs.

You can try the books. You know: “Dr. Atkins”, “The South Beach Diet”, and “Sugar Busters”. They all profess to be “the secrets of the stars” (Hollywood celebrities), they all offer advice, meal plans, and recipes. The cost of a book is usually negligible in the long run in comparison to the monthly costs of the meal replacement and diet programs.

What you need to know is what they all have in common. Wrapped in the guise of “the secret to weight loss”, each of the thousands of weight loss plans out there boils down to one real secret, and one real secret only:

They are all about tracking and reducing calorie intake to lose weight!

The big secret is that weight loss isn’t really a secret at all! It’s just a simple mathematical formula: burn more calories than you eat and your body will lose weight.

It’s easy, it’s natural.

Of course, you do need to know some specifics. You need to know how many calories YOUR BODY burns in a day, and how many calories YOUR BODY needs to take in per day. You need to understand YOUR metabolism. You need to know which foods to eat and which foods have more “good” calories than others. But in the end, it really is all about tracking and reducing calorie intake to lose weight.

In order to free yourself of the endless questions your face in terms of how to really lose weight, you need to realize the truth: that all you really need is to learn about calorie intake.

So learn! Learn to understand the math of your own body! Every one of us is unique; your body has different caloric needs than your friend’s does, but we all follow the universal law of “burn more than you eat to lose weight”.

So get started! Get yourself out of the “overweight” or “obese” category of most North Americans and into the wonderful category of healthy living!

Cash Advance Loans: Loan Sharks In Disguise?

May 15, 2009 by ftsgetexback · Leave a Comment
Filed under: Loans

You have seen them on the corner and in the poorer parts of town with names like “Quick Cash“, “Quick Loan”, “Payday Loans”, “Car Title Loans”. They are starting to sprout up all over the country and will soon rival Starbucks for sheer number of locations.

They are the new trend in predatory lending practices but still manage to fly under the radar of regulation in most states. They don’ t charge interest, they charge a “fee”.

But it sounds like the ultimate in convenience. Need some quick cash – stop by and in just five minutes you can be out the door with $100, $500 even $1000 dollars. But what is the true cost of this “convenience”?

How It Works

A cash advance or payday/paycheck loan is usually secured by a personal check. Some companies want your bank account or credit card information in addition to or instead of a check.

You write a check to be cashed or agree to have an amount withdrawn from your bank account sometime in the future; usually 14 days (the standard payroll period).

After completing the agreement/contract you are given an amount that is less than what you have agreed to pay. The difference is the “fee” for the loan service. And you have got your cash!

Why It Works

Why is the company willing to loan you money like this? Simple, because loaning out money for these “fees” really amounts to a huge profit at your expense.

For example, say you borrow $200 and the lender charges a “fee” $15 for each $100. Within 14 days you will have to pay $230 for borrowing $200. Now if the $200 keeps you from having to pay a $100 late fee or penalty on something it is probably worth it. But if you just want the money today, you are paying a high price.

You are paying 15% interest for a 14 day loan. That amounts to 3785% compounded interest yearly! No wonder lenders are happy to loan you this money. If they loan you $100 and you pay them back with an extra $15 in two weeks and they loan out the $100 again along with the $15 extra you paid, and they keep doing this for one year, they will turn their $100 into $3785 by the end of the year!

Maybe you should be loaning your money to them rather than borrowing from them.

What To Watch Out For

* Early repayment fees. Pay off your loan early and they sock you with another fee.
* Late repayment fees. You may have to pay the entire fee again if you miss the payment date.
* “Membership” fees. Some companies charge you to become their customer along with charging you as their customer.
* Giving lenders access to directly debit your bank account. Just hand them your wallet, it’s quicker.
* Fine print (as in all contracts). Know what you are signing or don’t sign it.
* Bounced check or debit fees. Make sure you have money in your bank account or you get to pay your bank a fee as well.
* “Collateral” requirements such as a car title. Miss your payment and you may be missing your car – permanently.

There Is A Better Way

The root problem here could be that you are getting strangled by your debt payments. Credit cards, store accounts, installment payments and such can eat up your income quickly. Ite may be time to visit a non-profit credit counseling service or create a debt reduction plan for yourself.

Or it could be that you are just spending more than you make. You may need to spend a few minutes each week and write down your expenses. Then categorize and total them to see where your money is going. Then record your income for the same time period and make sure that you are not spending more than you make.

Sure, everyone gets behind occasionally. But you need enough room in your budget (this means spending less than what you make) to accommodate the “budget busters” and surprise expenses that may come up. It may mean cutting back on cable, magazine subscriptions or eating out. But last time I checked, McDonalds did not charge a $15 “fee” for making your food.

Yoga And Athletics: Tennis

Tennis needs cat-like reflexes with short bursts of power. These short engagements don’t allow the muscles to run their full span. While muscles are actively worked they become firm and can drop their flexibility unless correctly stretched. Yoga movements can increase the body’s range of motion. The lack of movement because of inflexibility binds the joints. Without the flexibility of the muscles, I believe an competitor can be a hostage within his own body.

With yoga techniques makes it feasible to retrain the muscles. Most tennis players perform in a constant condition of muscle tension. Yoga trains the body to relax muscle tension. Learning to begin your game in a relaxed state could mean gaining an extra step on the ball.

Once in a set position muscles are contracted and ready for combat. To move, muscles must be calm and after that contracted once more to jump in any way. By retraining the muscles you start from a relaxed position, giving a quickened response time.

Yoga breathing exercises can help progress endurance and stamina. While exerting in sports or exercise we regularly hold the breath as a way to produce strength. Yoga trains the body to generate force through breathing control. Holding the breath at points of energy takes a great deal of energy that could be used throughout long sets or matches.

Learning the right method while doing a yoga pose is easy. Exhale during the execution of a pose until you feel the muscles’ complete length of stretch (maximum resistance). In no way hold your breath. Breathe naturally and pay attention to the body. Hold for thirty seconds, then free the pose slowly. By constant practice of yoga poses you’ll soon use breathing techniques in everyday routines.

A simple spine twist is brilliant for rotational sports. It can help raise required elasticity of the shoulders and back and hips. Remember to apply the breathing technique to this pose.

Start the spine twist by sitting on the ground with both legs straight out in front of you. Keeping the spine straight, bend the left leg placing the left foot on the outside of the right knee. At this point, rest the left hand on the ground behind you with your arm straight and the right elbow bent. Positioned on the outside of the left thigh place the right hand on the left hip.

Slowly exhale while rotating the head and upper body to the left, looking over the left shoulder. Force from the right arm must keep the left leg static while pressure from the left arm and torso gives you the twist. Stronger use of both arms increases the twist. Hold this pose for thirty seconds and repeat twist on the reverse side.

A total body conditioning and flexibility routine is crucial for the passionate tennis player. Yoga techniques might be the edge you require in increasing your game.

Challenge Yourself Daily

Fitness is a lifelong endeavor. Unfortunately, in our society today, with the speed of the world as we know it, even fitness goals are often set with expectations of overnight improvement. Just like fad (health) programs, this is a sure-fire way to failure.

The fastest way to improve your overall fitness is to challenge yourself daily to make improvements no matter how small they might be. Understand from the outset, your health and wellness is a marathon, not a sprint! These small improvements not only help your (goals) but they also help you to develop a winning mindset where you know that every day you are getting better in some way.

Even if, in the course of a whole resistance training workout you only manage to do a few more repetitions in one exercise or lift a few pounds more weight in one exercise you have made an improvement that is another step up the ladder of fitness success. Naturally there will be days when you are low on energy, or are feeling lethargic for one reason or another. On days like that, just accept that simply going to the gym or exercising is a bonus in itself and sometimes it is wise to have a workout on a day like that without recording the details. Each and every one of us has ‘off’ days and that is something that we need to accept.

If we get these days more often that not then it is time to look at other aspects of your lifestyle and ask what is lacking that makes this happen. It could be something as simple as not drinking enough water during the day or possibly not getting enough sleep at night. It could also very well be from over training where the body isn’t getting enough time to recuperate between training sessions.

If you can’t make some small improvements to your fitness on a weekly basis then it is time to start looking at your training program to determine whether it needs changing. Small changes that seem minor at the time can produce outstanding results over the period of a few months or more. These same small changes can add years to your life so they are well worth aiming for.

Grab The Online Business That Is Waiting For To Start

Although there are craziness about people learning the Internet business but still there are many more people in comparisons to other who don’t have any idea what you kind of business you can do in the Internet and how much you can earn. I am from India and when I started this online business, I search a lot of information in the Google search engine. There are very less websites and blogs which are providing the information. There are some websites who tried to scam people. They succeeded in scamming many people too. I too fall for them earlier. But now I know what kind of website can scam people.

I want to help my fellow from our country India too start their own online business. You don’t need to be a full time. Just do it as a part-time side by side to your main work. Whether you are a student, doing jobs, unemployed and any other whatever, it doesn’t matter much, all can start an online business. You just need a computer and an Internet connection. It will be better if you have your own connections otherwise you can also work from cyber café. I have seen many people getting success in their online business and leading a successful life. So it’s a full proof that online business does works.

I have been in this online business for the last 2 years and I have got many cheques from different companies and plus earning around $150-$200 per month in my PayPal account. So If I see my online earning, it’s not too bad. I am really doing a great job and I know by the passes of time, I will earn money like +$1000 per month which is too good. I am still a student so that’s why I say anybody can earn money through Internet. Although in the starting it will take some time but you will surely make money. That’s for sure. When I started I have a strong believe in me what I am doing. At first I didn’t get any success but later I started seeing cheques and money rolling in my name and bank accounts. Wow!!! I am happy to see such a good things happening to me. Now I don’t have to worry about, I am earning some decent money.

So I though of creating a new blog called make money online for Indian People. Well there are many ways to earn money in the Internet and it applies to most of the people from all countries. But still I think if I can make some website or blog dedicated to our own country only then it will help the people to learn the things better and help them in realizing that yeah very good business can be done online and can earn good bucks too.

The Scoop On My First Date From A Free Online Dating Site

May 15, 2009 by ftsgetexback · Leave a Comment
Filed under: Dating

People tend to think that a first date is simply a casual meeting between two potentially interested singles. Being a 27 year old young man, who dedicated his high school years maintaining a high grade point averge and my college years studying for exams – I wasn’t what most people would consider a popular student. Though I kept myself occupied and excelled academically, I felt that my personal life was on life support.

In an attempt to boost my personal life, I made it a mission to land my first date. In theory, this all sounds fun and easy. In reality, It taught me a life lesson that wasnt taught at school -meeting a girl is tough! I used to sit down and watch the way guys approached girls with ease – they seemed to get chuckles out of girls, they complimented them and many times, after just a few minutes of talking, they would get a phone number. Well, I wont sell myself short here, but let me just start off by saying that I A) I’m not too charming B) My sense of humor is best suited for classrooms C) The thought of approaching a girl makes me nervous.

I did some research for %LINK% and found companies like eHarmony offering free services. As i’m sure most of you know, it turned out to be a total spin on words. It was free to sign up, but you have to pay to use the service. Anyways, I was determined to find a free online dating site, because in this day in age, I figured that there must be some out there. I found a few companies like Plentyoffish, OKCupid and Hintcafe.com. I decided to select Hintcafe because it seemed easier to use and it had a nice homepage, lol. I created my profile, uploaded a few pictures and I was up and running. I found a handful of girls that were very good looking and seemed interesting. I sent out fifteen messages, then I watched some TVand called it a night.

The next day, after I got back from work, went to check my account to see if I got responses. To my surprise, 6 girls responded to me. I exchanged emails back and for with the girls and within a short period of time, to my dismay, I was getting messages back from girls telling me that I wasn’t their type or after a few exchanges, I wouldnt hear back from them at all. I continued to send messages to girls, but found the percentage of girls responding to me had dropped off or ended the same way as the previous messages had ended. Feeling defeated, I decided to log out of my account and I decided that online dating wasn’t for me. I figured that I’d meet someone special and I shouldnt rush it. I went back to my daily routine of work, dinner, watching movies, and catching the occasional Dodgers game.

It was a Saturday morning, when my sidekick started chirping – I had a message. I opened my new message[/spin} and it was a message from HintCafe letting me know that I received a message from another user. I must've ran to my laptop faster than a kid runs after the ice cream truck. I read the message and was in complete shock. At the library, I had befriended many people - we'd share a joke, give each other book recommendations etc. Alicia was a girl that would come around the library a couple of times a week. After many friendly conversations, I found her to be funny, smart, interesting and her looks would have most guys turn their heads [spin]once. Alicia was on HintCafe as well and she had sent me a message! Her message read: “Hey there Zack. I havent seen you at the library for a while. I hope everything is ok. I guess if you spend too much time at the library you end up looking for people online, hehe. Anyways, I’m heading to the Starbucks next to the library, if you’re around, we should meet up :)

I must’ve read the message 20 times before I responded to her. I was happy, hopeful and determined to try this out. I responded by telling her that I was headed to the library and would love to meet up with her.

I took a shower, sprayed on my new Axe body spray (any help will do) and got ready. By the time I got back to my laptop she had responded back to me to let me know that she would be at the starbucks in 15 minutes – PERFECT!

On my way to the coffee shop, I have to admit that I was self conscious. Two blocks away from the starbucks and I was sweating. I turned on the AC full blast and made a few circles around the area to cool down a bit. I parked my car and there she was. Sitting on the outside patio of the starbucks, Alicia had two frappaccinos on the table. The conversation started a bit awkward, and there was an awkward hug where I wasnt sure if I should hug her or shake her hand but surprisingly, the conversation quickly turned around. The two of us had a lot in common and we laughed about the same things. We even high fived each other when we agreed that Forrest Gump had to be at the top of the list for the funniest movie of all times.

Well, we never did make it to the library. We ended up leaving starbucks and went to grab some pasta. We walked around a park and talked about things like favorite school subjects, fondest memory, most embarrassing moments, dreams, favorite ice cream flavors…you name it.

Needless to say, the date was one of the best days of my life. It’s been three months since we met at Starbucks and my quest for a first date turned into a relationship that has put a new kind of happiness in my life. My first day wasnt extravagent. We met at a coffee shop and she even paid for my drink. What made the day extravagent was the conversation. I think we both felt comfortable enough to talk about life and conversations that mattered – we were simply being ourselves. Now, I dont think I would’ve ever had the courage to approach her, so for that, thank you Hintcafe and thank you library!

New Onkyo home theater receiver the bar once again in the competitive world of mid-range home theater. A stunning balance of high definition formats, upscaling video and all-round versatility. Product Dimensions: 14.8 x 17.1 x 6.9 inches; 17.6 pounds.

With the very latest Dolby technology, Dolby® Pro Logic® IIz, enhances the spatial sensation of music, movies, and video games by letting you incorporate front height channels. HDMI 1.3a inputs for up to six components, it’s ready to handle all your high-definition video and audio needs. Allow you to incorporate HD Radio, iPod, MP3 players, satellite radio, and more.

My only complaints with the audio-video inputs are more limited than I had expected. If you have several older devices, you should know that only the HDMI, digital audio, and component inputs can be connected to different inputs. And they can’t be renamed. So anyone using my system has to know that TV/GAME button shows the old TiVo box and that the laptop is connected as CD. And if I had one more device, I’d have been out of luck.

Basically, this has many combinations of inputs and outputs with many options. No matter how many speakers you choose to connect, you’ve got great home-theater sound. WRAT technology and discrete amp construction for cleaner sound TrueHD/DTS-HD decoding to support the latest Blu-ray technology optional iPod dock. Unless you have some really expensive speakers, this is the unit for you.

Great sound quality, simple setup and easy menus make this a good choice for the novice or mid range home theater enthusiast. The sound was pretty easy to set up, and the auto calibrate did a pretty good job after I was able to eliminate the hum issue. Yes, I highly recommend the unit.

Why Your Arm Stiffness Could Be Something More SERIOUS?

Have you ever experienced pain on the outside of your arm near your elbow joint? Does the pain seem to come out of nowhere and get worse if you pick up something as simple as a coffee mug?

If so, I have some important information that could save you from developing a more serious and debilitating condition that could take you years to recover from, not to mention the hundreds of dollars you could end up wasting trying to get rid of this nagging injury.

The painful arm condition that I am referring too is tennis elbow. Tennis elbow is the common name for a painful condition affecting the outside part of the elbow.

Tennis elbow is most common in people aged between 35 and 55 and surprisingly enough you don’t have to play tennis in order to develop tennis elbow. In fact, 95% of all reported cases of tennis elbow are from non-tennis players.

Most people have no idea how they develop this nagging injury but depending on the severity it can take up to 2 years to fully recover if you keep ignoring the warning signs and symptoms. And to make matters worse, this condition progressively gets worse over time if left untreated.
There are certain occupations of activities that are more susceptible to developing tennis elbow, such as:

# excessive use of your computer mouse and keyboard(especially if you have poor arm and neck posture)
# using vibrating equipment and machinery, such as jackhammers, drills, power saws, etc.
# frequent use of scissors or shears
# gardeners
# construction workers
# chefs and line cooks
# manual occupations that involve repetitive twisting and lifting of the wrist – including plumbing, bricklaying, general contractors, painters and frequent useers of screwdrivers or any other tools that require tight hand grips
# playing any type of musical instruments
# sports such as volleyball, baseball, football, tennis or any other type of raquet sport.

Symptoms can develop gradually over time with some slight soreness and tenderness on the outside of the elbow, which then leads to tightness of the muscles in the forearm. If left untreated, you may experience the misfortune of not being able to straighten your arm out when you wake in the morning without extreme pain and discomfort.

Simple tasks such as turning a door knob or shaking hands can sometimes be challenging and frustrating.
Does any of the above sound familiar? If so, the worse thing you can do is to ignore these painful symptoms and hope it gets better!

But don’t despair, Geoff Hunt, A Certified Personal Fitness Trainer and 7 year tennis elbow sufferer has put a top notch, easy-to-follow, step by step program that shows you how to eliminate the pain in as little as 72 hrs…

… and the best part is that you can follow his blueprint formula for arm pain relief while sitting in front of your tv watching your favorite television show without any special exercise equipment!

Get the system to get rid of your elbow pain for good.
